Family Mediation gives parents who are separating or living apart the opportunity to make their own arrangements for their children's future.

You and your ex partner meet in a safe environment with a mediator present to discuss issues concerning your children.

Mediation can help you avoid painful and expensive legal battles.

Mediators will help parents talk to each other about the children and what is in their best interests. The aim is to look to the future.

The mediator will not take sides, give you advice or make decisions for you.

Mediation is voluntary. You choose to start it and you can choose to end it at any time.

Mediation is a confidential process so parents can talk freely and frankly. A clear exception to this is where a child is believed to be at risk of harm.

Any agreement you choose to make can be in a verbal or written form.

Before using any of our mediation services, each person has a free, confidential, individual appointment to find out about the service so they can decide whether to use it.
