Relationship Counselling
How do we work?
Counselling offers a confidential, supportive space for individuals to explore any issues around difficulties and loss of a close relationship in a safe and accepting environment.
Counselling is not about getting advice. It’s a process of gaining a better understanding of yourself that will enable you to make choices.
We offer an initial meeting to discuss your feelings around your relationship difficulties. After this both you and your counsellor can decide if counselling is suitable for you at this time.
Our counsellors are trained to listen carefully without judgment. They will support you to find your own answers and gain greater insight into your concerns and wishes around your situation. We believe people are the experts of the best way forward in their lives.
Who are we?
Our counsellors are experienced and trained to diploma level in a variety of different counselling approaches. This service is a member of COSCA and abides by the COSCA Code of Ethics.
Is it confidential?
Strict confidentiality is always maintained and is an essential part of the counselling process. Counsellors will not pass on personal information to anyone outside the organisation unless:
- You give express consent to disclose information.
- Your counsellor believes that you or a third person is in serious danger.
- Your counsellor would be liable to civil or criminal court procedure if the information was not disclosed.
How much does it cost?
Each session will cost £40 (payable in advance) and lasts approximately 50 minutes.
Cancellations given with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full.
